Training Times
The club has 4 training sessions at 2 locations.
On Sundays we meet at The Royal Commonwealth Pool (The Commie), Dalkeith Road, Edinburgh EH16 5BB . Land training 15:00hrs fitness room 2 (corner of the pool as you are walking around the top corridor to the dive pit), Pool time is 16:00 – 17:00 for beginners, 16:00 – 17:30 for swimmers working to skill level 1 and 16:00 – 18:00 for all other swimmers.
We have just introduced new early morning pool session at the Commie. On Tuesday we train 06:00-07:00. This session is by invitation only.
Our 3rd pool session at Portobello Swim Centre, 57 The Promenade, Edinburgh EH15 2BS. This session is held on a Wednesday, starts at 20:15 and ends at 21:30. Beginners finish at 21:15

Equipment
All swimmers will need a swim cap, nose clip and goggles. The Club has nose clips and caps that can be purchased by the swimmers on the poolside. Swimmers should bring water or juice in a plastic bottle to all sessions. Don’t forget your costume and towel!
Land based training varies from week to week. Swimmers should attend dressed in clothing that allows for freedom of movement.
Academy and Development days
This is a programme which has 7 full training days for Academy swimmers and 5 full training days for Development swimmers (swimmers aged under 12 who are working towards their first skill level) spaced throughout the year.
There have been some changes to the running of the Age group, Academy and Development squads. For this year there will be no Age Group squad , these swimmers will be included in the Academy squad.
Training sessions are usually at Stirling University, from 9.30 – 6.15, with water time from 10- 12 and 4-6 plus at least one activity in the 3 hour session ( dance/ gymnastics/cheerleading/circuits/flexibility) plus an hour lunch where often videos are shown. Dates identified are: 14th January, 18th February, 17th March, 16th June, 25th August, 6th October, 17th November. The February and November dates are NOT for the Development swimmers.
