It has been a good year for Edinburgh Synchro. We have 45 members, almost all of whom competed in at least one competition this year. Here is a summary of the year.
A huge thank you to all the swimmers who took part in the Swimathon on 28 September. Together they raised a massive £590, which will be split between the club and Scottish Autism’s Swim for Autism challenge. The club will use the money to pay for club costumes for the girls.
Well done to all the swimmers who attended the Scottish National Competition at Drumchapel this year.
Due to popular demand Edinburgh Synchro is having another Come and Try taster session. It’s being held at the Royal Commonwealth Swimming pool on Sunday 21st September 2014 between 16:00-17:00hrs.
Well done to everyone who took part in the Scottish Clubs Championships in Bellshill.
Over this summer there are going to be some pool closures which will have a knock on affect on our ability to train.
Well done to all the girls who competed at Buckie this weekend. The East district team managed to win both the Shell Trophy for the overall winner of the the skill/recreational level 1/2 competition and also the Elizabeth Hamilton trophy for the overall winner of the skill/recreational level 3/4/5 competition. Thanks to the club swimmer’s who came along to help run Sunday’s Come and Try session. It was a great success with 14 swimmers turning up to get their first taste of Synchro. Feedback was very positive and the Club is looking forward to some new members.
