The club started off the year with our AGM and a display of routines from last year’s Novice Event and Scottish National Age Groups, plus one from Synchro Caledonia. Almost all swimmers in the club performed at least one routine.
At the AGM, the annual awards for 2016 were also presented:
Beginners Cup (for swimmers with a maximum of Skill One) – Amy
Senior Achievement Shield (for swimmers with Skill Two or above) – Caitlin
Samantha Richie Achievement Shield (for any swimmer who has achieved something special in the year) – Lucy F
Champion of the Year Cup (for the swimmer who has received the best results in the year) – Niamh
Coach of the Year Quaich (voted for by swimmers) – Viv
Congratulations to all our prize winners.
Along with the event there was a fundraising effort, which involved lots of cakes and tombola items. These raised a wonderful £248.69. This, added to the very generous donations of £70 given on the day, means that we exceeded our fundraising amount at the last AGM. Thank you so much to everyone who gave and bought (and especially to those who did both!).
