Edinburgh had a great weekend at the Scottish National Age Group Championships in East Kilbride on 29th and 30th October and finished by winning the Top Scottish Club trophy. A team of 13 swimmers competed over the weekend. It was great to be back at SNAGs after the 3 year break and the new venue of Dollan Aqua Centre, East Kilbride worked very well. Saturday was figures, all technical events, and Junior free duets.
Eve did fantastically in the 12 & Under figures and won bronze overall.
Baylee, Ellie and Madeline swam their technical solo routines beautifully.
Lucy & Baylee won bronze overall and National gold for their Junior technical duet. And they swam their Junior free duet brilliantly too.
The Junior technical team of Baylee, Ellie, Lucy, Madeline and Natalia won National gold and silver in the open category with their Moulin Rouge routine.
On Sunday the Juniors were back in action with their free solos, along with 12 & under solo, 13-15 duets, and the free and combination teams.
In the 12 & Unders solo event, Zofia did a wonderful swim of her routine. Her first-time swimming a solo at a competition!
Ellie and Baylee swam their Junior free solos brilliantly.
Olivia & Rose and Niamh & Paula did great swims of their 13-15 duets.
The 12 & Under team of Amelia, Daisy, Eve and Zofia performed their Wriggle routine brilliantly, winning gold.
The 13-15 team of Niamh, Olivia, Paula and Rose won gold in the National 13-15 free team and silver in the open category of the same event with their Alice routine.
In the Junior free team event, Baylee, Ellie, Lucy, Madeline and Natalia won 2 overall bronzes and 2 National golds with their Music Box routine.
The final event of the competition was the competitive combination routines. The Junior and 13-15 combination team did a great swim of the Guardians of the Galaxy routine.
